Elizabeth Faye: Hair Love University

Elizabeth Faye was a young, troubled girl when a stylist profoundly changed her life and led to her career in the professional beauty industry. She now gives back and is devoted to the idea that hairstylists not only change lives but change the world.

From punk kid to high school dropout to hairstylist to motivational speaker, Elizabeth recently shared her mission and message from the TEDx stage, garnering over 1 million views and sharing the impact made by the beauty community and the ripple effect they are all a part of. Now available on Amazon Prime, her award-winning documentary, “Hairstylists Change the World,” discusses the impact stylists have.

As a leading voice for the beauty industry and a globally recognized hairstylist and business and trauma-informed coach, Elizabeth serves the beauty industry as an advocate and founder of her community, Hair Love University, which has impacted over 30,000 beauty careers and worked with over 50 leading industry brands. A two-time finalist for the North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA) Educator of the Year, Elizabeth is responsible for facilitating tens of thousands of full-blown career transformations via her soul-spurred Hair Love Retreats, mentorship programs, and private coaching to some of the most influential voices in beauty.

Elizabeth has also been a trailblazer in bringing personal development and wellness into the beauty industry, salons, schools, and culture in an integrated way that paves an even brighter future for beauty careers. Her wellness brand, Glow Breathwork, offers certification for humans who want to bring these tools into their lives and businesses for themselves.

Elizabeth believes that our wealth and well-being go hand in hand, we can change the world, and we are all part of the ripple effect.

Interviewed by Winn Claybaugh, Elizabeth openly shares her journey of being a difficult teenager, struggling with health issues, experiencing a failed marriage at a young age, becoming a single mom, navigating her new husband’s mental health challenges of depression and suicide ideation, and more. Through it all, her self-healing journey is spectacularly inspiring. In this conversation, Elizabeth is very specific about what it means to be a “heart-centered leader” and how every business and career-minded person can focus on what she calls “sacred success methods.” In this message designed for the masses, Elizabeth talks about the sacred balance of wellness, beauty, and business.
