Eden Sassoon and Seth Maxwell: Thirst Project

Eden Sassoon is the daughter of legendary beauty icon Vidal Sassoon and owner of the popular Pilates studio, EDEN by Eden Sassoon, in California. Seth Maxwell is the founder and CEO of Thirst Project, which has made a bold commitment to ending the world’s clean water crisis and raised over $10 million with over 3,000 water projects established in 13 countries. Interviewed by Winn Claybaugh, Eden and Seth share their passion and commitment to providing people with clean water and hope, and Eden shares memories of her famous father.

Eden Sassoon

Eden Sassoon is the daughter of the legendary beauty icon Vidal Sassoon, who revolutionized the beauty industry by creating a new standard for hair care in the 1960s. An avid fitness enthusiast and wellness advocate, Eden has always understood the importance of conscious living. Embracing all forms of exercise, she believes in varying her routine but her Pilates practice remains her foundation. Aligning her love affair with Pilates and her generous spirit, she created EDEN by Eden Sassoon Pilates as a haven for anyone who is enthusiastic about becoming strong from the inside out.

Eden is also passionate about helping others who struggle with addiction and mental illness, and she is a leading voice in the national conversation about breast implant illness. She is the proud mother of two teenagers.

Seth Maxwell

Seth Maxwell’s life is busy and full-just the way he likes it! Like most 30-somethings, Seth wears many hats: son, friend, entrepreneur, activist, producer, actor and speaker. He is the founder and CEO of Thirst Project, a creative and diverse nonprofit organization with a bold commitment to end the clean water crisis.

A storyteller at heart, Seth has spoken internationally at over 300 schools, countless churches, and numerous conferences, including the TEDx Hollywood Youth Conference, the Nexus Global Youth Summit, the Masters of Science in Communication Commencement Ceremony for Northwestern University, Envision’s Global Youth Leadership Conference in Washington D.C., and meetings with Obama administration officials at the White House to discuss how to activate Millennials for social justice and social change. Seth serves the U.S. Department of State as a member of their U.S. Speaker Program for International Programs, representing the United States as a leader in his fields at events and conferences abroad. Seth challenges people to fulfill their true purpose in life and become an engaged and socially conscious human being. He is also passionate about providing relief for those impacted by the clean water crisis, HIV/AIDS pandemic, feeding the hungry, and providing support for the millions of orphans and widows in our world today. Additionally, Seth serves on the Board of Directors for Heartland Film, on the Advisory Board for the Purpose Awards, and on the Board of Directors for the Andrew Gomez Dream Foundation.

Seth has appeared in numerous professional stage productions, television shows and films, and is currently one of the activists/personalities who Hosts USA & HLN networks’ cause-based millennial news show AsipreIst. Seth was named to Forbes’ “30 Under 30” in 2014 and has been honored with the Vh1 Do Something Award and the Charles Jellinger Humanitarian in Entertainment Award from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. With his inspiring and humorous style, Seth challenges people’s thinking and touches their hearts. He has traveled internationally speaking to audiences about the clean water crisis, courageous leadership, the power of youth, and living an adventurous and extraordinary life.
